With deep appreciation ... the items here are useful to our Bhikkhuni sangha at Dhammadharini Monastery and  Aranya Bodhi Hermitage.

Thank you very much to our local friends and distance supporters who are helping our monastery to survive through your offerings of food and essential supplies during this period of Coronavirus "Social Distancing" which is preventing our bhikkhuni teachings from offering regular outside teachings and going on almsround, as well as not allowing our regular in-person monastery visitors and participants.

Senasana Dana Monastic Lodgings Dana

  • Lodgings Dana: pledge ongoing monthly financial support for lodgings. Recurring donations in any amount will help to fully fund the monthly mortgage expense. Dhammadharini Support Foundation is $500 short of having all monthly lodging expenses offered by recurring donors, especially important at this time of pandemic to ensure the sustainability of the monastic community lodgings.
  • Two 11,000 BTU direct vent propane heaters for hermitage kutis (example, example, example)
  • Gift certificates for Ace Hardware (sold here for Ace Hardware). These locally-owned stores in our area carry many useful supplies for maintenance, repairs and renovation.
  • Reed privacy fencing 6' tall x 60' to restore two structures at hermitage (example)

  • Hand sanitizer: several

  • Natural antibacterial hand soap: several (example)

  • Herbal teas: peppermint, licorice, ginseng (example)

Amisa Dana Monastic Food Dana & Items for the Monastery Kitchen
(offered to the Bhikkhunis and maintained by lay friends of the monastic community): 

  • Grocery Dana: make a one-time or monthly recurring donation to Dhammadharini Support Foundation for Grocery Dana here (you can choose a day of the month and your dedication). A network of volunteers local to and on-sight at the monastery and hermitage will shop for, prepare and offer your Meal Dana on your behalf, with dedication to you and your loved ones.
  • Brown rice, black rice, millet
  • Gluten-free tamari
  • Natural nut butters (peanut butter, etc...), with just nuts and salt
  • Nuts and seeds
  • Tofu and tempeh
  • Powdered milk or Nido™ 
  • Greens (ex: kale, collard greens, chard, dandelion greens, bok choy, spinach....)  
  • Durable root vegetables (ex. potato, turnip, carrot)
  • 3.5 gallon bucket for food storage, three (example)
